  Such a shame that that garden is in the state it's it's since it's the entrance to Shakespeare Hill, and next to the awesome restaurant The Terrace. I go every summer to this section of the park, multiple times, and every time I am saddened by the state of the flowers. The layout is beautiful and it has such potential, but I don't know if it's not having the right gardeners or botanists on staff - but the bushes are always anemic, empty, not full, not blooming or if they are, there's very limited flowers. It doesn't look well maintained. I looked at this location for our wedding and opted for the botanical gardens because of the sad state of the flora. Another pet peeve is the hoses are never buried and there is hardly any mulch in the group to either keep in moisture or hide the tubing. It's always super dry looking soil and it does not appear well maintained. It's such a shame because it's a real focal point - it has so much potential!!! I hope they change their care plan and maintenance plan for this neglected area of the park. If not, it would do better as a zen rock garden - not much maintenance and it would be clean, polished, and classy instead of this dry, disappointing half dead garden.
